A Wonderland of Self Exploration: My First Time at a Nude Beach (PART 2)

I studied psychology in school. I eventually graduated with a doctorate and became a psychotherapist in a drug treatment facility for over ten years. I certainly learned a lot about mental health and the human condition while working as a therapist. Not only did I get textbook learning as well as practical experience about human emotions and behavior, but other life experiences helped pave my personal development. One such experience was met at San Gregorio Beach.
I acquired precise directions on how to get to the beach. I initially had heard about this private beach from an acquaintance. It left a significant impression in my brain; it was something that had certainly been on my bucket list.I was both nervous and excited as I found my way to coastal retreat. The parking lot on the property was set high on a mountain plateau. You could stand on the edge and see miles and miles of ocean that seemed to lead to nowhere. It was a beautiful site. After parking, one was required to take a trek down a sandy mountainside to get the water’s edge. This took about 15 minutes. You needed good shoes as you stumbled over rocks and wild growth to eventually get to the sand.
I wildly anticipated my virginal arrival at this beach which would ultimately change my perspective on the human condition.
a fun series of blog posts. ????
Thank you. I’m constructing a short story about my experience at a nude beach in California. I will submit portions of the story each week.
