A Wonderland of Self Exploration: My First Time at a Nude Beach (PART 5)

On this first day of new exploration at San Gregorio, I strolled with no clothes down the beach. I thought I was alone, until I saw a figure emerge from one of the cliffside bungalows. It seemed to be a male figure, although there was some distance between us. I could see the outline of a beard on his face and I assumed he, too, had on no clothing. He was approaching me. I was nervous at first. I wasn’t sure what to think. Should I get dressed? Should I turn around?

I continued to walk, but a little more slowly down the beach. My eyes were on this mysterious figure. He seemed to be walking toward me. He was definitely naked and he seemed to walk with a sense of confidence and freedom. I could see the smile between his mustache and beard. He raised his hand and waved and declared a hearty hello as he got close. I replied with a slightly hesitant hello. “Welcome,” he said. His voice was warm and welcoming. A bravado in his voice that almost seemed embracing without us making physical contact. By the tone of his voice and the confidence in his greeting, his naked demeanor came across as a cheerful and light. My mind and heart instantly declared him the Mayor of the Nude Beach…welcoming his fellow nude citizens.
